Using the therapeutic form of family constellations, At the feet of my mother explores the psychological dynamics of parentification - the little known but widespread phenomenon of parent-child role reversal. With a close focus on Luciën's face, we follow his emotional journey as he moves through long-supressed emotions of anger, fear and sorrow - finally showing himself to the world.

This is my graduation film from the HKU School of the Arts Utrecht.
